Cupping Therapy

Cupping is an ancient technique to promote blood flow to the affected regions of the body and speed up body self-repair mechanisms.

Cups are applied by acupuncturists to certain acupuncture points, as well as to regions of the body that are affected by poor circulation. Cupping promotes blood and nutrients flow to the troubled tissues.

Cupping therapy is not new. It dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures. One of the oldest medical textbooks in the world, the Ebers Papyrus, describes how the ancient Egyptians used cupping therapy in 1,550 B.C

Cupping therapy is used for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
